Good, Not Great By Anthony Ross I have been looking for a good adaptable vest for my Crossfit workouts and cadio stairs workouts. The good; adaptable and easy to add/ decrease weights. Also, the build is solid…I can’t imagine this thing ripping or falling share like for less “one weight” vests from the sports supply stores.
The bad, the fit. I’m 6ft tall, 175 lbs. I’m somewhat lean and this vest feels huge. The shoulders adjust but the width of the shoulder straps impedes overhead pressing movements. Not a big deal. The worst thing is the adaptable belt. It is fantastically mixing up set up with straps of velcro overlapping. The straps don’t stick together, therefore I employed my own velcro strips to stick on the belt so the staps would stay together when I put the vest on and off. Mir must have put belt loops for the velcro belt…that would have been perfect. Also, the strap emplacement where they wrap around my midsection is another problem as too tight cuts off deep breathing in intense cardio intervals, but any less tight the vest bounces.
I think for heftier people or for strictly power walker/ hikers it would be perfective but I thought with Mir’s affiliation with Crossfit that this vest would be perfective for my style of workouts…its not.

MiR Vest By L. Dukes This is a nice vest for the price. Shipping was sort of expensive, but that’s to be expected, I guess. The vest is easy to adjust, but when I adjusted the vest to fit snug, to keep away from exuberant bouncing while I run, some of the sand weights became hard as rocks and jabbed me in my lower back. There are no troubles when you wear the vest loosely, which is what I ordinarily do, since I principally wear the vest while doing yard work or for further and added weight when doing body weight resistance exercises. Overall, I am rather satisfied with my purchase.

Weight Vest By Kenneth A. Stuart When I got the weight vest it seemed to be just what I wanted, it fit well and fastened well. After using it regarding 4 times the fastener strap produced a big hole now the vest can not be fastened.

your video is in the playlist. good job.

Am I on your playlist? My video isn’t a max attempt (just 50 lbs) but they are smooth and easy in my vid. My max is 92.5 lbs at a BW of around 155 lbs. Right now though, I am guessing I could hit just 85 for a couple reps because I haven’t been in the gym in a few months.
I have seen Extremist Pullups videos and he has the best on youtube. Very strong guy who has some impressive pullups.

Extremist Pullup I don’t think is a professional trainer — he’s just very strong! You sound strong. Maxing out a pull down machine impresses me.
Darrell
I’d say! And to think i thought I was strong when I maxed out the pull down machine. I made the mistake of gadging my strength based on what others do in the gym, as opposed to records and people who actually do this stuff professionally.
Dina
I have a playlist of weighted pullups & chins. There is a guy (Extremist Pullups) who has worked up to adding weights equal to his own bodyweight for a total of 400 pounds. Pretty damn impressive! He also does one arm pull ups.
Ali
265lb all together I see. Myself I’ve done 255lbBW plus 20lb, and it was fairly easy.
Whats the record?
