Pull-ups are phenomenal, effortlessly one of the best fitness tools that you may have in your tool box. Get a pull-up bar. Any will do, but I like the ones that slide over the top of the door frame. Their easy, priced well, and sturdy. They plainly slide over the door-frame, as opposed to being permanently attached.

The Pull-Up: Go with whatsoever grip feels most comfortable. This is commonly a little wider than shoulder width. At home, the bar ought to be high sufficient that you may hang with your knees bent and you don’t touch the floor. Simply pull yourself up until your chin reaches the bar, then tardily lower yourself back down (all the way). If you find that you can’t do even one pull-up, there are two things you may do in regards to it:

(1) Perform a chin-up instead. This is fundamentally the same thing as a pull-up, except that your palms are facing you when you grip the bar.

(2) Or, put a chair in front of you and place one foot on it as you carry out your pull-ups. Using either (or both) of these cheat methods is perfectly fine, until you may commence doing full pull-ups on your own.

If you aren’t in truth fascinated in going all-out with an exercise regimen, you may still make good use of a home pull-up bar. Just do what I do. Every other day (or each three days), I hang my bar in a hallway door. That way I walk by it 15 -30 times that day. Every time I walk by it, I do one pull-up. As time goes on, it gets more comfortable to do more pull-ups. Now, I intermediate around ten pull-ups each time I walk by it. That’s a lot of pull-ups in a single day! Of course, I only hang my pull-up bar two or three times a week.

Again, the pull-up is one of the best fitness tools you may comprise into your exercise plan, or used as a stand alone exercise. Even if you can’t do one by yourself, use the cheat methods I described earlier. Good luck!

bodybuilding is not about how much you lift or how many reps you can do is about how your body is gona look at the end !! i dont care if some one can do 30 reps but if is fat and got no definition on !! good job kev !!

Well, if you want to talk about “real world strength” (whatever you mean by that) then most weightlifting in general doesn’t count for a whole lot. As a pro fighter I’ve beaten plenty of guys who have lifted much, much more than me and I didn’t mean a thing. I was also beaten by a guy who lifted much less than me. How much you lift doesn’t count for much. Also, I don’t think anyone is debating Levrone’s bodybuilding career. How about we just focus on the video.

@judastefarianist Check my vid response to see if levrone was ever “strong” cuz ya its all abt calisthenics wat makes us strong eh? That dunn mean a things its not applicable in real world strength as much as strength training and lifting weights of course it has its purpose, but not greater than weight training. Seondly THE MAN IS KEVIN LEVRONE he doesn need to impress any of u ppl, he’s done it all, one of the greatest and most pleasing bodybuilders to ever live. keep it up kev!

Great pullups. Last ones were actually explosive. Very strong. Especially considered your bodyweight. I can do 25-30 pullups, but I wheigh 130 pounds. When I add 80-90 pounds I can only do 4-5. Lol. 5 stars.

i did 14 during my back workout the other day and i weigh around 235, but i was definitely dead at the end of it. kevin probably could have gotten a couple more out.

Kev I watch your vids for inspiration and have alot of respect for you. With that said, I counted 9 pull-ups with good form and the rest were erky jerky jumps (very poor form) You have stated in these comments you could have done more. I could tell you were really struggling after 9 so I don’t think you could do more. Peace

he does plenty reps with full range of motion, he is not 170 lbs, he is lifting a heavy load!

I could have slapped him across the face and said “LETS DO THIS” and I am sure he could have pumped out 18-20

p.s. Kevin I love the videos and channel, love the no nonsense information…Can’t wait to get the supplement once its out!

Yea i’m not sure what’s impressive about this, I did 18 pullups last year 17 years old 180 lbs. It only took maybe a minute.

Nice, he shows you that properly done pullups dont come in 30s for everyone, even a muscle monster :)

I can do about 6 with same form, slower but higher.

    And i’m a skinny 66kg..

Hes over 100, so almost double the weight, over double the strength

Nice man, they sure were explosive if they make it look like you are jumping. I didn’t really think you were jumping, just wanted to address it in case others thought you were. I’m a big fan of yours. I will get my vid posted in the near future :)

Nice work Kev. Pullups are one of the hardest exercises u can do, most ppl cant even do 1 proper pullup and ur banging out 15! I think if n e 1 can do 8 proper ones then ur doing really well.

@adamsmith85 Hey,yes I like training legs.I have a smith machine at home and love squating with it.Also do deadlifts, and leg curls. But I do sometimes neglect my calves, whitch I train every two weeks. And yes I **** taking time off,I feel guilty as hell.LOL!

  21. Kurtis says:

    Elsa

    @jlinteris OK thanks.

  22. Virgil says:

    Randy

@judastefarianist I could have done more, I was not jumping, the form is full range and explosive, makes it a lot harder. Go ahead and post your 20 pullups, I’d love to see that. Peace

  23. Jesus says:

    Lucinda

What’s the story behind this? Did someone call him out saying he could lift all this weight but not do sufficient pullups or something??

  24. Gordon says:

    Clay

send me a PM of what your current training schedule is in a week. I got stuck at that weight years ago too and it was from poor planning. I can take a look if ya want and see if I can sort things out.
