So you want to master planche pushups. Not an easy feat.

Before getting started, I will have to mention that it takes most persons six month to a year to be competent to in truth do a planche pushup. Like I said, not easy… and not for those who are going to get frustrated that they can’t do one after two weeks.

Planche pushups are an fantastically modern muscle building move, and take awful upper body strength, as well as core strength.

For any person who doesn’t know, a planche pushup is a pushup done with your feet off the ground, not resting on anything. Imagine yourself doing a regular pushup, now imagine your feet in the air, at the same height as your shoulders. Now lower and raise yourself, the entire time, your feet never touching the ground (except possibly very briefly at the bottom of the pushup). Yup… it’s tough. Master it though, and you’ll be capable to do something that very few humans may do, and will build a heap of amazing upper body strength. Actually those who have mastered the planche pushups, yet never done a single bench press in their life, have shown to bench press unbelievable amounts when tested.

Anyway, let’s get on to how you’re going to master planche pushups.

Planche Progression #1

Squat totally on the floor (bum closely touching the ground), hands flat on the floor in front of you, shoulder width apart. Your arms must be more or less bent so your elbows stick out a little bit. Now gradually roll your knees onto your elbows, and carry on to do so until your feet are off the floor. If you’ve done so correctly, you must be in a tucked position with your knees resting on your elbows beneath your chest. It is a little bit of an awkward position, but this is the initial planche progression. Continue to exercise this until you may hold it for when it comes to a minute.

Planche Progression #2

Once you’ve mastered the introductory step, undertake to remove your knees from resting on your elbows (bring them inwards amidst your arms). As you may see, this is much more difficult. In addition to removing your knees from your elbows, you’re going to want to completely straighten your arms so your elbows are not bent at all. If you’re having a little trouble with this one, see to it your hands are not directly beneath your shoulders… they ought to be back somewhat someplace amid your shoulder and hips. If they’re too far forward it will be inconceivable to remainder yourself due to where your centre of gravity is located. Once you’ve got it, carry on to exercise this until you may hold it for with regards to a minute.

Planche Progression #3

In step #2 your back must still be arched slightly. Now try the same, yet completely flatten your back. Your feet ought to now be further back (your knees still tucked in however), making the exercise more difficult. Continue to exercise this until you may hold it for with regards to a minute.

Planche Progression #4

From here you plainly want to work on extending your legs out exclusively from the tucked position. Work on this until you may get your legs extended behind you 100% (if you keep your legs further apart, this becomes somewhat easier).

Planche Progression #5

Well now it’s time to actually undertake numerous planche pushups. You may only be competent to lower yourself a tiny bit at first, but keep working on it. You’ve innovative until this point, so you may unquestionably progress until you may do a full planche pushup. If you may only progression in little increments that’s fine… just keep working on it until you may do a full planche!

you must not no what your talking about. you dont judge people on the size of their muscle but by how strong it is, thats also why bodybuilders are not nearly as strong as they look. Doing a planche pushup is the equivalent of 2-3x bodyweight benchpress. If hes not so strong he wouldnt be able to do this. And gymnast are very strong, in fact top gymnasts are stronger than any other athlete. This is a feat of strength, that other video is all about endurance. this guy is way stronger.
