Good camera, but not worth the money

I bought this camera with two others. This was the most expensive camera (the others were $40 and $50). This camera is very large compared to others. That might be good if you want to draw attention to the camera. It is easily 4-5 times bigger than some other CCTV cameras I’ve looked at and bought. It does a good job. Like most cameras, it has issues with colors.

The camera is just okay. It’s not worth the price. You can get an equally good camera for half the price. While the video quality and adjustable zoom are nice, the night vision sensor is very sensitive. I am using the camera inside and it turns on the LEDs and goes into night vision mode even in the day with multiple lights on in the room. I need to open the blinds and let the sun in on it to get it to turn off night vision. Indoor lighting is not enough. I have another camera in the same room and it has no problem with room lights.

Being able to adjust the focus is nice in theory, but it is super sensitive. You barely touch the screw in the back and the focus changes noticeably. It makes it hard to fine tune. It was shipped with a separate microphone which was nice, but I’ve bought these elsewhere for around $5-$10.

This is a good camera for $40 – $50. For $100 it is a waste since it is no better than other options out there. You can get a much better camera for around $50. In particular, I would recommend this one. I bought 3 cameras to start and ended up buying 2 more of these:

Great quality and Great buy!

Its very easy to set up. It doesn’t record or rotate but for the price you can measly pop in a blank DVD or VHS to record. It really does have an amazing picture quality! I was expecting to receive it in a week and that’s even when it said it would arrive but I got it in like 2 days!!! I love this camera

Great product

I originally ordered two of these lights and used them for a ghost investigation Saturday March 13th 2010, at the Hand Hotel in Fairplay Colorado. I was so pleased with their operation, that I just ordered another. I was surprised, the amplified microphone worked pretty well. The IR lights really did their job too! The investigation will be on my ufonut website.

A little big

This is a little bigger than I was expecting, and also basically rolls up into a ball. I wouldn’t buy this again, but it’s cheap and gets the job done. The many compartments are nice, but would like something smaller than laid flatter in my suitcase.

A great Cheap Toiletry Bag

It came exactly as described and I have no issues with it. It stores quite a bit of stuff and it is easy to organize your stuff within it. I would avoid large bottles though, because they make it too bulky. It can be a little cumbersome to close it when it is full of stuff, but it stays closed and it doesn’t affect how well it works.

Excellent Technical book

I genuinely enjoyed both volumes of his Harley Encyclopedia. I am an amateur HD mechanic and have read all of the books by Rook, Buzzelli and every other performance book I could find. Peterson has a deep understanding and interest in HD engines. His comments are all well taken and even Denish’s books don’t get to Peterson’s tech depth, though Peterson doesn’t restrict himself to only performance related topics. Many of his chapters are purely engineering analysis and excellent nonetheless. I’m sorry he Didn’t begin the projected 12 volume series with Sportsters, but I bought a 2001 TC88 yesterday and his books are the bibles. His writing style is more or a series of comments by category, but very readable and good natured. From a purely objective viewpoint, his books would only appeal to the HD enthusiast who really wants to master the machine. For my part, I loved them. I also recommend Denish (out of print) and Bill Rook’s “How to build a Harley Torque Monster” (very available). Bill Rook’s book is mistitled as it is truly one of the best and simplest performance manuals out there. Denish goes into deeper depth and is also excellent, but the Peterson books are as detailed as one can get. Both Rook and Denish illustrate their various techniques and thoeries. Peterson has no pictures and is for the technician who already knows how things work.

Outstanding Guide

One of the best manuals for the Harley Twin Cam motor. Volume I: the Twin Cam was rather poorly written, but chock full of knowledge broken down into understandable pieces. Volume II is easier to read thanks to an improved editor. Donny is the Einstein of Harley engines. Can’t wait to get my hands on Volume III!
I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who wants to know exactly how and why the Twin Cam works and how to make it that much better of a motor.
