A lot of people had told Barbara Sher that her book “Wishcraft,” when it comes to getting what you want, was of little use to them because they didn’t recognise what they wanted. So she wrote this book for those of us who need help figuring out what we want. After three basi chapters, the remaining eleven chapters talk about eleven dissimilar forms of resistance to knowing what you want. I suspect that most readers will, as I did, find a few of the chapters specially applicable and won’t bother reading past the opening sentences of a great deal of other chapters.
I specially affiliated to the chapters when it comes to being frighted to commit to something prematurely, and when it comes to not being mesmerized in anything at all. There’s likewise a chapter for you if you’re afraid to take risks; if you’re scared of succeeding and leaving your loved ones behind; if you want too some dissimilar things; if you’re succeeding spectacularly at something you don’t genuinely want; if you feel that what you actually want is trivial or unworthy; if you’ve just been through a big life change and don’t recognise what to do next; if you had a dream but it’s become unattainable; if you protest doing anything usual or mundane; and if you’re attempting hard to love something you don’t in truth want.

Change your life – if you’re ready for it
By Jessica
This book in a literal sense changed my life. I have been marveling – since regarding the age of 15, I’m now 31 – what I actually wanted to do work-wise. I sort of bounced from one thing that I’m good at to the next variation on that theme, without ever sentiment passionate or fulfilled. I painful breakup and growing discontent at work led me to try to sort this circumstance out once and for all and strictly by luck I came all over this book at the library.
I didn’t commence it until I felt ready, because I knew it wasn’t going to be ‘light on’. But one Saturday I picked it up and expended the next 8 hours pouring through it, doing the exercises and having one epiphany after another. At the end of it all I had applied to eight companies that did the sort of work I wanted to do and I ended up getting a occupation at my initial choice, even without direct experience in that field. I’m 8 months into that occupation and I could not be happier.
The way I see it, the firstborn three chapters of this book are regarding working out what you personally receive pleasure from and are ardent about, while the remaining chapters are to support you win a victory over any barriers that prevent you from having that sort of work. This means that perhaps only one of those latter chapters are for you, but it’s all so practical that it’s bound to have something that helps.
For me, the barriers weren’t the huge deal, it was knowing what on world I wanted to do. And trust me – I had tried almost each other thing, including personality tests, seeing professional counsellors, everything. This book helped me unlock those actions that I have enjoyed since I was just a little child, and see the mutual thread amid them. It was like learning more with regards to yourself in a day than you learn in a decade.
I commend that people buy this book but use it a) only when you in truth feel ready to explore yourself from a dissimilar point of view and b) with an open mind. Actually that makes it sound like it’s full of genuinely weird and challenging stuff, which it’s not. That’s what makes it dissimilar – the activenesses are rather straight forward and non-threatening, and the tone of the book makes it feel like the author is there with you, helping you all the way through.
I have emphatically commended this book to everyone I know who is lost career-wise. Maybe it’s not for everyone, but it changed my life in better ways that I ever imagined possible. Surely that’s worth attempting out?

If you’re ready for a change, Sher shows you how
By C. Clark
Maybe you’re just out of college marveling how you ended up with a business degree when you hate business. Or you’ve been spending way too much time on the job/in life daydreaming when it comes to a heap of other occupation or life. Or maybe, like me, all seems right with your world, but you have a nagging sentiment there’s something else you ought to be doing. Barbara Sher’s book will help you sort it all out. She’ll support you figure out what’s at the root of these sensations and how to perceive and handle them. Through a series of exercises, explanations and examples she guides you to discover just what it is that you genuinely want to do. And then she shows you how to get to do what you want.
You have to be ready to do a little psychological work on yourself, think hard when it comes to your past and realistically with regards to your future. You have to be ready to put apart the excuses and fears, and Sher knows them all, and commit yourself to working towards the life you want to live. If you’re looking for something easier, like tests or checklists to tell you what you must be doing, this book might not sound like it’s for you. But buy it anyway. I read all the books with the tests, the checklists, the affirmations and the goal making, etc… and they got me nowhere. This book in the end got me somewhere.

Not much, maybe make your arms a tiny bit stronger.
Marion
It will give you very strong abs and arms and chest. However, if you add other exercises (look on sparkteens.com, they have great information) you can make other parts of your body strong as well. As you get stronger you will find that 50 of each seems easy. At this point, you need to do more or do a different type or difficulty to continue gaining muscle.
Juan
do reps of 20 and add reps everyday until the end of summer
that will work
only doing 50/day wont do much at all
Don
If you do them properly, you’ll have stronger arms and abs, then if you don’t do them or if you do them wrong. Depending upon how much body fat you have, your arms might appear larger, but you probably won’t see much difference in your abs one way or the other.
The idea is find a good starting number of repetitions and then slowly keep adding reps throughout the summer. Each time you work out, you want to go until your muscles give out and you can’t do another push up or sit up that day. When you reach that point, rest a day to let your muscles rest.
If you’re overweight and want some body definition, consider doing at least 30 minutes of aerobics and eating a healthy diet daily to manage any excess body fat.

50 pushups a day will make your arms and chest a little stronger, and maybe a small noticable difference. 50 situps will not do much besides tone your stomach. If you 100 pushups and 100 situps every single day, then that would be very good. That would give noticable results.
Valeria
It will burn calories.
Lucia
I do that everyday too! It’s been about 15 years and I think my body looks good. Until the end of summer? Not much difference man.
Jeremy
its good for the muscles. you can build up muscles, but the question is is what is above the muscle. if you have a thick layer of fat, you have to burn it away to show off the muscle. either way it is going to strengthen you. bodyweights are good workouts, pushups situps and pullups.
Nadine
It will help you tone your muscles, but not bulk up. By the end of the summer, you may need to add more
Etta
It will do virtually nothing. 50 is way too many reps to make a difference. It might eliminate a little fat in those areas, but if you eat like a pig than it wont do anything. All it will do is improve your muscular endurance. If you want to add muscle, then either bench press or use a backpack full of heavy books when you do push-ups. If you can do more than 15 push-ups without getting fatigued, then you need to add more weight. I did this for a couple of months and gained 9 lbs of muscle. Keep adding weight as you get stronger.
Young
it won’t do much. I would consider doing 200 of each everyday. For example you could do 4 sets of 50 situps. and 5 sets of 40 pushups. If you eat right by the end of the summer you will see tremendous results.
Matt
YOU will burn a lot of calories.
Gradually increase the amount on pushups and situps overtime.
